Warehousing & Logistics Manager - MRO/Aerospace

Manufacturing & Supply Chain
  • Supervise and oversee the operations, administration and supervision of all staff within the department;
  • Ensure efficient operations of the department through appropriate coordination with other departments and management of all 3rd party logistics service providers (3PLs);
  • Review the capital and operating budgets for the department and making recommendations for manpower, spares and equipment necessary for the efficient operation of the department;
  • Set up an effective system for prompt clearance of incoming consignments with proper documentation;
  • Identify, appoint and manage freight forwarders in handling the shipment of goods across the Company’s global network of vendors and customers;
  • Maintain proper document records of all items shipped and received, invoices received and payment made;
  • Ensure best-practice warehousing and logistics operations are adopted and in accordance with all regulatory guidelines;
  • Establish and set up any overseas warehouse locations as required;
  • Manage general administrative functions, supervision, discipline and control of his department and staff;
  • Ensure staff under his control and 3PLs observes safety procedures and company regulations and discharge their duties and responsibilities in accordance with their terms of reference;
  • Establish and maintain a performance monitoring system to effectively manage his departmental operation in support of the Company’s business;
  • Establish proper inventory control mechanism in the warehouse operations;
  • Identify and implement automation and technology. Prepare the warehousing operations for Smart Warehouse operations;
  • Maintain an efficient monitoring and control system for all logistics activities;
  • Degree in preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering or relevant discipline. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience in a similar role in aerospace industry 
  • Minimum 3 years in a managerial / leadership capacity
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong bias for action
